IUI TREATMENT

Artificial insemination (AI) is the deliberate introduction of sperm into a female’s cervix or uterine cavity for the purpose of achieving a pregnancy through in vivo fertilization by means other than sexual intercourse or in vitro fertilisation. It is a fertility treatment for humans.
A) Artificial Insemination For Husband (AIH) : The male acquires the semen by the process of masturbation and this process is followed by placing it artificially in the vagina, at the front of the womb (cervix), with the aid of a syringe.
B) Intrauterine Insemination (IUI): The semen is acquired by masturbation followed by its processing in the
laboratory. The seminal plasma is discarded and the best quality sperms are harvested to be kept in special culture media. The ratio of half to one million of sperms is artificially deposited into the uterine cavity with the help of a thin catheter IUI.
